Not too long ago, I picked up my first-ever pair of Golden Goose sneakers (which I originally featured in this post), and have been asked a lot about them ever since. So many that I decided it was finally time to do a full write-up! How expensive are they?

When I ordered my pair in spring, I paid just under $390, but their standard price is over $500.

Are they true to size?

I’d say they fit true to size, based on my pair.

They haven’t stretched much, so if you’re between sizes, I’d go up

Is the comfort worth it?

They only needed minimal break-in time..

How durable are they?

Because they already have scuffs, I didn’t worry about wearing them outside. I’ve worn them all over the city, and they’ve held up beautifully. The laces are intact, and the leather hasn’t stretched. Since the aesthetic is distressed, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.

How are they vs. other brands?

They’re the highest quality sneakers I have. I love my Vejas and Tretorns, but Golden Goose still come out on top. They include a built-in arch bump that adds support and height — making your legs look longer. Also, they’re not mass-produced, so each pair is one of a kind. And the glitter on mine? Absolutely gorgeous.

Are they worth it?

Totally! But I’d recommend waiting for a sale. They’re expensive, so getting them discounted is a better idea. Still, I think they’re worth a few hundred bucks, especially if you find a style that suits you. I chose a loud pair, but a low-key version would also go with everything.
